It has been five years since J.R. Benson appeared in an APW ring. It was at the first Halloween Hell in 1997 where Benson faced long time ally turned bitter enemy, the Voluptuous Lady Brenda, in an anything goes match that ended with Vicious Vic Grimes and Little Dick Grimes destroying Benson, including dumping thousands of bugs on him and wrapping him in barbed wire before Vic Grimes dropped his 400 plus pounds on to Benson and the sharp razor wire!! Most figured Benson, who's intense personal problems with APW promoter Roland Alexander became very public, would never be back in APW again, but this past Friday, five years to the date at the fifth annual Halloween Hell, Benson & Brenda buried the hatchet, returned to APW and HELL LITERALLY FROZE OVER!!!!

The most shocking return in the history of All Pro Wrestling, occurred during a Double Jeopardy tag team match pitting APW Universal champion "Brown Bomber" Robert Thompson & Jardi Franz against APW Internet champion and head of the Blackwell Army, Larry Blackwell and his partner Kafu. Both Thompson and Blackwell put their championships on the line, winner takes all. After a wild brawl all over the building, including an insane balcony dive by Thompson, a fan in Halloween costume offered a chair to Thompson to use as a weapon. But as Thompson tried to hit Kafu with the chair, another fan stood in his way and begged him not to. Thompson turned to hand the first fan back the chair when the other masked fan blasted Thompson with a sick metal chair shot to the skull!! APW security mobbed the two fans and chaos ensued as security and wrestlers alike tried to get these fans out of the gym. Meanwhile Larry Blackwell got Thompson back into the ring, splashed him off the ropes and pinned him for the 3 count. Larry Blackwell now has double gold and every championship belt in APW!!!

Larry Blackwell then got on the microphone and told security to leave the intruders alone as they were his new manager, J.R. Benson, and his new woman, Lady Brenda. Off came the masks, shocking everyone in attendance. Benson went on to give one of his notorious interview, proclaiming himself the mind behind the scenes for the last several months, pulling the strings as the Blackwell Army took over APW and now this, Blackwell winning all the titles in APW, was the final step in the Blackwell Army, under the leadership of J.R. Benson, taking over APW. Benson made it clear that he will fight on the front lines with his army, which includes Larry Blackwell, Kafu, Kryptonite, Melissa & James Watkins. Benson pointed "I have survived prison, I have survived venereal diseases, I have survived some extremely strange shit and I will fight on the front lines with my men to make sure we keep control of APW."

J.R. Benson and the Blackwell Army's night was not over yet, as yet another shocking return to APW occurred later on Halloween Hell as the one and only C.E.O. of Hardcore, the Innovator of West Coast Violence, Vicious Vic Grimes also made his return to APW. Grimes, Benson's most fierce rival in wrestling dating back to the old days in APW and most recently in XPW, was the mystery partner of Nikki against Blackwell Army members Kryptonite and Melissa.

After an action packed mixed tag match which saw the women go at it as fiercely as the men, Vic Grimes pinned Kryptonite with the Wild Fandango off the top rope. Immediately after the pin, James Watkins charged the ring but Grimes nailed him with a brutal power bomb. Kafu was next in line but Grimes scooped him and face bombed him right on top of his fellow Army member Watkins!! Grimes didn't see old nemesis J.R. Benson standing behind him, readying to throw a clotheslines, but at the last second Grimes ducked the clotheslines, pressed Benson over his head and spun him into a sick looking spinning choke slam right on his shoulder!!! This left the head of the Blackell Army, Undisputed Double Champion Larry Blackwell. The two giant men had a stare down until the locker room emptied to separate them.

So the stage is set for the Blackwell Army to face the rest of the revenge seeking APW roster. Next show is November 8 at the APW War Zone in Hayward. Now that J.R. Benson and Brenda are on board, there is no telling what the Blackwell Army is capable of doing to protect their spots in APW. Prepare for all hell to break loose once again.
